ORIGINAL South Beach Diet, DASH Diet Weight Loss Solution, Low Glycemic Load Eating Group

We use the Original whole foods South Beach diet and/or the DASH Diet Weight Loss Solution as a healthy and easy way to learn to eat right and lose excess weight. Both approaches are built around lots of vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds, whole grains, and lower sugar fruits, and if it appeals to you, lean meats, low fat dairy. They are NOT low carb diets by definition. You decide how low. And they don't have to include meat or animal products.
Phase 1, for folks with a lot of cravings and/or more than 10-15 pounds to lose, it is the most strict. It eliminates fruit and grains for two weeks. Phase 2, weight loss, re-introduces fruit and whole grains, and continues until you're at a healthy weight. We welcome others looking for a "slow carb" approach to eating.
