My pool is closed for this week and most of next week so they can install a new HVAC system. I am having withdrawal from my 3 x a week swimming! I was hoping to get out in a kayak a couple of days for an upper body workout but the weather has not been good (either cold and windy or rain/thunderstorms). Praying for a quick installation!

Sorry the pool is closed on you, I know how frustrating that can be. Look at it as fate's way of getting your body a rest so that the muscles can repair & strengthen......

Chlorine withdrawal sux. I go through it every time I have to travel to China for a month.

Hope you manage to get back into the swing of things!
I find the less I swim, the less I swim - if that makes any sense!

Understand the pain. My pool closes late September or early October every year for a Major maintenance routine. Its attached to the local Hockey Rink so they do the Ice Plant, Water Plant and general Building Maintenance all at the same time, in the long run it is cheaper and causes less disruption's during the peak summer ( kids out of school ) swimming lessons or winter Ice Sports. I end up making day trips to shop/visit family in a community 2 hrs away and always hit there pool for a few laps.

I feel you pain and then some. Stuck in China for a month. No pool access that the CEO is willing to pay for and too expensive for me (one is $480 a month. So much for things being cheap in China)
I'm addicted to chlorine. But I figure if all my sweat from walking the 29 floor stairwell circuits 4 time might stink up the office enough to break them. :) (25 stories. Office on 20. Each circuit goes up to 25 then back to 20, then up to 25 before going back down to 1. )
I do love the fact that I don't feel the sweat in the pool :)
