I decided to post this in honor of my first session with my personal trainer. It was awesome...and I had jelly legs after. Now my whole body is sore, so I'd say it was a success! She was at first focusing on goals regarding weight loss, and I finally told her I didn't want to focus on weight loss, but more the type of calories I'm eating.
Hubby and I went to Dave and Busters last night and had a blast. It was supposed to be a group of us, but apparently they cancelled and never told us. Tough on them, cause we had a blast!
Today I'm hoping to do a short run on the treadmill. I'll definitely need to do a bunch of stretching first! I also was given a set of strength exercises to do a couple times this week, and I'm excited to try them out.
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Yay val! Sounds like it's going to work out great with the new trainer. And good for you having fun with hubby at D&Bs.
I'm still in a holding pattern. Did the actual kindergarten registration today but didn't have one form they wanted and had to head to an office to get it cleared up. Was able to do that and get back with a preliminary form within the registration time today, so that we are basically all set til September as long as we bring that form with us when she begins. Anyway, I can almost taste the freedom. Also, they offered the all day class to us! Normally both parents must work. But the teacher remembered me from my son and I think she realized my son would've probably learned Greek if he'd been in the all day class (not to mention me having to run to pick him up in the middle of the day when I was pregnant, ugh. But what's done is done). Hope there'll be space for her in that class, it'd help her immensely, and I'll have more time than I know what to do with!
So now that that's done I'm hoping to get to the gym or maybe a run tomorrow. Still have t.o.m. To contend with, plus preparing for a houseguest (in our tiny apt) arriving this weekend. Today, in addition to the errands, I walked for about an hour to get plenty of steps.0 -
I've been reading but not posting. So basically stalking.
Tuesday was a very long day, Wednesday I was sick, and today I took a vacation day at work. Plumber was over at 9:00 to fix the toilet & sink and charged me less than half what I had budgeted, so that was a relief. No big issues and just needed some stuff tightened up. I have a chiropractor appointment in 15 minutes, then a massage at 3:30 to get my shoulder worked on, and finally my trainer at 6:00. Going to have to make him go easy on my shoulders!
Val I'm so happy about your trainer! Mine keeps reminding me he's not a nutritionist so if you get any good eating tips please share them. I'm with you in wanting to focus on quality of food vs losing weight. But that's so hard sometimes because the food that's not so good for you is delicious.0 -
Hi stalker...lol...
I finally made it to end of 2 1/2 miles trail. Wow my body must have taken a dive...
I have a weird pain in my right wrist that reminds me of that repetitive thing you get. I either got it from weird twisted lifting from the move, or all the typing on ipad to find places and look up stuff and pay bills.
I drove to sonoma and spent a wonderful 3 1/2 hrs with my daughter tonight, she treated me to dinner. We walked around the plaza and got caught up. It did my spirit good to be with her. We even wine tasted a bit.
