Weigh IN Sunday
You can either list your actual weight, how much it changed (hopefully for the better), and/or percentage. It's up to you so do whatever makes you comfortable. Feel free to post any other real wins for the week like NSV or whatever you feel like sharing.

Well i am up 2 pounds. I have been playing with friends and not working out unless you call shopping a workout.0

I'm down another 1 lb. It seems to be a trend that on Fri/Sat, I'm down 1.2 or 1.4, but by the time Sunday gets here, I gain a little of that back. But the overall trend is still down so I can't be unhappy with that! That makes four weeks in a row with a loss for me!
Four weeks ago was when I increased my calories to between 1400-1500/day because I was constantly hungry. I think that was because I had really increased my workouts the past two months, so four weeks ago I up'd my calories and that appears to have worked. 18.4 lbs down and 16.6 lbs to go! Oh - and I've officially lost 10% of my starting weight now too and am finally at the tippy-top of the 'normal' BMI range for my gender and height. Yay!
I'm really liking Dailyburn and the CardioSculpt program Scott. I'm so glad it was suggested (can't remember if it was you or Rudy! lol!). I try hard to workout at least 5 days a week. I usually do the Jillian Michaels' Yoga Meltdown Level One video (can be found on YouTube) on Mondays and then Daily Burn CardioSculpt routines Tues-Sat. Sometimes I just go for a long walk on Saturday though or don't get any workout in because I'm busy cleaning or getting other tasks done. I've noticed that I've been sore from my workouts a lot more the last couple of weeks. I hope that means they're working and not that I'm getting worn out...
My sister just did this diet called the 'HCG Diet', also a 30 day diet, where she also cut out all added sugar and it's also very low carb. Well - it's very low everything! It's only 500 calories a day. Then you take these 'HCG Drops' daily that are supposed to suppress your appetite. She had wanted me to do it with her, but I didn't want to mess with what was working for me so far and I couldn't imagine surviving on 500 calories a day! She has a hypo-thyroid issue though and had tried the traditional diet/exercise routine for about 6 weeks with zero results. She was frustrated and felt like she needed something more drastic to kind of 'kick start' her metabolism. It's worked for her so far - she's down 16 lbs. in 25 days. She'll be done with her 30 days this Thursday, and then she goes into 'maintenance' mode for 2 weeks. After that she's going to try the same thing I'm doing with a normal amount of calories and exercise and hope that it'll work this time. I've read up on it and it seems there's something about eliminating added sugar that does do something to 'reset' your metabolism... Hopefully your 'Whole 30' regimen is not as drastic! Lol! It doesn't seem like a bad idea although I think it would be hard - I do love my added sugars - especially my nightly Ghirardelli Sea Salt Caramel and Dark Chocolate square!0 -
I don't know if you guys have noticed - but Scott is killin' it with the calorie burning cardio workouts! I hope your shoulder is holding up well for you Scott.0

Thanks Kristine!
Well my weigh-in on Sunday was not pretty. I was up 3.8 pounds from the previous Sunday. I went and played volleyball for a couple hours that afternoon. Nothing too strenuous but I had an opportunity to spike the ball and I did, really hard. My shoulder did ache a bit but nothing more than it has been so I started serve overhand (I was serving underhand before then) and was really getting it going. Afterwards, my shoulder was about the same so I didn't do any extra damage, thankfully.
So yesterday, I'm down 3 pounds from the day before... talk about variability! I even stepped on the scale several times each time and got the same reading both weigh-ins. I'm actually down another 0.8 pounds today from yesterday. It's really crazy! So now, I'm about a pound heavier than the lightest I've been this year.
I did the Kickin' It With Keaira workout, which is the kickboxing one in the Cardio Sculpt DB program, with my wife and youngest son last night. Again, the shoulder feels the same so I'm just going to keep going with working out. Oh, I also did the FitStar Good Morning workout yesterday morning, so I actually did 2 workouts yesterday.
I don't know what the deal is with my shoulder. I went to the chiropractor last Tuesday and he noted that I'm not getting better with his treatments and he didn't want to waste my money. So he's given me a list of rehab type exercises for the shoulder (which I need to do more often, now that I'm thinking about it) and I'm to see him in about 3 weeks, unless I want to see him sooner, and maybe he can connect me to others that can help, like a rehab person or something like that. Last week after my visit, the pain really got worse, probable because he really worked my shoulder area over intensely. So I'm just going try to do my best and work thru it. I have been using the heat pad at night and using the foam roller a lot as well so hopefully, I'll get back to being better soon.
Sorry to hear about being up that much Debbie... hopefully it was kinda like mine where you'll have some nice losses this week.
And wow Kristine... you are in the groove girl! That's quite the accomplishment to get that 10% drop! It's really cool how upping your calories a bit really helped. I remember one of Jen's motivational messages where she said something like you're working out a lot more now and you're going to be hungry. So eat.. you need that fuel to keep going. It looks like you found the right mixture for you. Woohoo!
As far as hooking up with DailyBurn. I remember some younger girl on the BL forums mentioned it and described it as "Netflix for workouts". I tried out FitStar first and Rudy tried DB. You were the first to try the CardioSculpt program and that's what I'm on now. I really liked the one I was on with Cody, but it put too much stress on my shoulder.
Well I'm not doing the whole program so it's not a drastic change for me. My dinners are healthier now so that's good! Actually my breakfast and lunch are using pretty healthy too so it's all good. I do indulge with my nightly Greek yogurt with some dark chocolate chips added so that would be hard to forego, although I did when I was eating all those blasted cookies!
In a little less than 2 weeks, I'll be going on my epic 3-night backpacking trip with my buddy from high school. Hopefully I'll be really burning the calories then! I originally wanted to be under 215 for that. I'm quite a ways from it but who knows if I'll keep dropping or maybe get that quick gain again. It's very roller coastery for me on the scale.0
