Cube Exercise

My workload increased significantly back in October...and I put on 15 lbs. Now that we've moved from a mold infested one level building where I had my own office to a new building where I am in a cube, I am taking advantage of the STAIRS! My goal is to do the stairs for at least 5 minutes morning & afternoon. That also gives me extra calories to enjoy dinner in the evening if I end up eating lunch out...which I believe has contributed to my weight gain...started eating lunch out much more back in October, but I am reining it in.

Hi, I just joined MFP a week ago and found this group. Although I actually have an office, I still feel like I'm cube-bound. LOL. I do have some freedom throughout the day though to get away from my desk, so I try to take a quick walk around my building about every hour. I also should start using the 2nd floor bathroom so I have a reason to walk up a flight of stairs a few times a day. Thanks for the reminder!0

Well unfortunately I am in a one level building. I am usaully in the office alone. So I am learning to snack healthier. The perimeter of the building isnt very big so instead of walking outside I turn on a quick youtube video for at least 15 minutes and get my workout on. Anything that gets the heart pumping right?0

I am temping at a place- and they have a treadmill in the office! I am grabbing 15-30 minutes on it a day (depending on my work load) and that helps. I am a single mom and my gym is about 8 miles from where I work. It's really hard to get off at 5 in a metropolitan area (traffic OMG) pick up my three kids which are in three different places and get to the gym. Child care closes at 8 and it's hard to get a good workout in only an hour. I get discouraged easy gym-wise so I try to make it up by using the treadmill and snacking smart. (Almonds, pretzel sticks, cherries, apples, cucumbers and the like..)0
