I'm not at the point yet where I'm in any fear of drowning in sweat, but I've made so much progress with my recovery in the past two weeks that I'm really pleased with it.

The Allegra-D is clearing out my head congestion so I'm still having allergy symptoms but at least I can function. I take regular Allegra & a prescription nasal spray year round. Spring & fall I have to switch up from Allegra to Allegra-D and add in allergy eye drops.

Yesterday was my most active day since my injury. I left the house at 6:00 am to head to the gym. Did the rowing machine as a warm-up, then legs & core with Jason. He added a light bar to my squats and didn't have any problems with that. After the workout I showered, went to work, had a private yoga class, stopped at the pool to get in my swim, showered again, stopped at the grocery store, and finally got home again at 9:15 pm. Despite most of my exercise being low or no-step I still got 11,617 steps yesterday. AND my leg didn't hurt from any of it. But I am exhausted. I was awake from 4:45am-11:15pm, and then was awake at 4:45 again this morning (even though it's my day off and I feel like I could/should be sleeping).

My trainer is doing a triathlon today - a 70.3. I get nervous when he races. We talk about his training while he's training me. He's doing this race as a training run, and he tweaked his back a couple weeks ago so he's a little stiff on the bike, so I'm curious to see how this year's time compares to when he did this last year.

I plan to take it fairly easy today since yesterday was a lot. A week from today I'm planning my first post-injury run so I don't want to cause a setback by overdoing it.

Hope everybody has a great Saturday! Looking forward to reading what everybody is up to.

Hi Laura, so glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery! You had a great day yesterday, must feel so good. Things have been busy here and I haven't been able to check in the past few days. If I don't get on first thing it seems that I don't get on at all.

My son took the Ferry from yarmouth to portland yesterday to visit a friend, so I dropped him off there, did groceries, came home and did a ton of paperwork. Yesterday was a no exercise day for me. Today I will probably run. Going to soon get out there. I have had a rotten cold with a pesky cough that doesn't seem to want to go away.

I have to catch up on the past few days to see what everyone else is up to. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Sherry - well done on all the steps!

Marla - hoping you find some relief and rest so your headache goes away!

Sammy - well done on getting your workout in. It sounds like you had a nice day!

Laura - I'm so glad to see the progress you're making!

I was so exhausted after finally finishing the last day of VBS. I had to pick up my room and put it back the way it was, and then came home to feed the kids. Then I had to head off to do some grocery shopping so that we would have food again. I then had my trainer session that afternoon. But I'm glad I did, as the workout was challenging but helped wake me up a bit so I could survive the rest of the day, Also had a good conversation about different foods and some changes I've been trying to make. I'm not weighing myself at all, but instead Im going to measure myself once a week. Im also not worried about how many calories I've been eating, as I'm staying well under my goal every day. But I want to improve the type of calories I'm eating. She helped me figure out some good guidelines as far as fiber, protein, carbs, etc that I'll be adjusting on MFP.

Today I have my pilates class this morning. Then I'm making a run to Costco and then off to my parents house to hang out, Have a great day everyone!

Laura Wow don't know how you do it all year, I fight allergies to dust and other stuff on and off thru the year and have to use nose irragating and nasal spray nasenex type a bunch. I only missed a few times of my irragating and added to that drinking wine and ugh last two days feeling pain in cheeks and head.

I am better this morning but dreading another night like last night. Laura what can i say to hubby who wants me to go to specialist when i know i don't even have it as bad as others? Doctor doesn't say i need that at all.

We are going to local farmers market soon, suppose to have good stuff and lots of music.

Not doing any exercise until i feel better.

They approved lot we want and building starts in fall and will finish by end of Jan. small house and big crew is why they get them done fast. I have places to stay already set up until then. Summer in southern oregon, oct in napa until our trip to visit my daughter in texas, then found place in Eureka until house done...

Great news Marla! Everything is working out so great!
Laura, glad to hear your leg is doing so much better. Hope the allergies subside too.
Maureen, hope your cold clears up too.
Val, glad things are going well with the trainer and you can use her as a resource for nutrition too.
Sammy, wanted to ask you about the YAYOG equipment. Do you use a door and table like is shown in the app?

Well, today I was worse than a slug...more like a fungus. I actually fell asleep last night before the kids and slept most of the night and then slept most of the day too! But since DH was out drinking with his friend every night last week, I figured he owed me some bedtime routines, as well as some lunches, etc. anyway, the unexpected outcome is that my calf/ankle feels really good. Usually it hurts after sleeping or resting (smthg that started long before I began running, right after lil girl was born), but today my legs have felt really solid, and comfortable. Rest is a good thing! Feeling hopeful again.
