Question re Zenlabs app and W5D3

... does the perky woman count down the 20 minutes run any more than the usual "you're halfway there" and "one minute left?" I've been good about not looking at the timer but a few times in the shorter runs I started to think I may have shut the app off because it seemed to take too long. I'm thinking I'll be doing this run on Thursday (just did W5D1 and am working all weekend) and I just wanted to know what I'll hear or not hear. Thanks

Nope, she just tells you the halfway point and 1 minute left. I hear you about those longer intervals occasionally feeling endless. I prefer to listen to podcasts when I run for that reason (I'm not counting the number of approximately-3-minute-long-songs that have gone by to figure out how long I've been at it), and I've also found that my outdoor runs are much more visually stimulating and therefore don't drag on. I know these things aren't for everyone, though.0

Thanks. What are on the podcasts? I listen to a "gym" playlist that has a bunch of songs that aren't slow. I'm finding I don't even hear as much as of the songs since I'm concentrating on my feet, breathing, not dying etc.
Looking forward to it, but still nervous.0 -
I just listen to whatever I feel like from my Podcasts app - usually NPR stuff (This American Life or Planet Money) or Stuff You Should Know. I did download some running podcasts (Podrunner Workout and C25K Trainer) but I haven't tried them out yet, so I'm not even sure what they are.0

I listen to audio books. Doesn't feel like I'm e e rising- just let my mind drift away.0

The woman who fitted me for shoes ran marathons, so I took the opportunity to ask her about the endless longer runs (I mean, if she can run for three hours straight, she might have tips to help me get through 30 minutes right?) She completely didn't understand what I was asking and, after a month or so, I stopped feeling like longer runs were endless as well. I can now run for over an hour without being bored with running.0

So what goes through your mind while you're running those long runs?0
