Bloating

Good morning folks,

I wouldn't say I'm fully keto-adapted yet, but I'm a little ways down that road (10 days, or something like that.)

I've upped my food intake (and correspondingly, calories) since getting a stomach bug and recovering. I've felt better on more calories, so I figured I was on the right track.

Last night to my dismay, my previously flat (for me) belly was newly puffy. I didn't have pain, but this development was a little puzzling. Trying not to be discouraged, as it's probably just some fluke.

I've been on the road with my family since Friday. I brought some keto-friendly food with me, but have also been somewhat at the mercy of what's available.

Had postnasal drip yesterday that settled into my throat last night. I wonder where I could score some bone broth, or a reasonable facsimile...

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on the situation!

Mary

I get bloat occasionally, then I'll cut down to just animal product food sources for a few days and it will clear. I think it's my body expressing a sensitivity to something. Then I can add things back one at a time for a few days each to try and see what it is. If I want. Only each chuck steak ain't torture. ;)

I get bloated when i travel as well. Heck i still bloat once in awhile even when i don't! Generally the culprit for me is diet coke.
Don't freak out. Things will even up after your trip :)

Happens to me after I eat a salad after a couple days of not having many veggies. I figure it's just my gut bacteria having a party.

You can get the powdered buillion at most grocery stores, and most gas stations have a hot water nozzle on their machines... for on the road stuff!
