Trans fat BAN!

I heard today that the FDA issued a ban on all trans fats. Does anyone else think the ban on Trans fat is going to increase use in saturated fats?

Likely as saturated fats can be heated to higher temperatures without oxidation making them ideal for cooking.0

On Christine Cronau's facebook page, she commented about wondering if partially hydrogenated oils will simply be replaced with fully hydrogenated oils -- and would that be any better? Also mentions "interesterification," a new process that is not technically trans fat but is not natural either... gah. Just stick with butter! and eat real food.0 -
