Levels steady... But randomly emotional

I had a TT 2 years ago and have leveled out with synthroid 200mcg for a good 10 months. The problem is about every 2-3 months I break down. I get frustrated easier and more emotional about everything. It's not that time of the month for me bc that explains it sometimes. I try to eat healthy and stay busy as well as exercise. I just want to feel normal and not alone with this issue. I hate that I have this invisible disease now for the rest of my life and its hard to just be ok with the fact that I have no control over the tears sometimes. Being or appearing weak is not something I do well with.
On a side note I keep a journal and nothing has been consistent to pin point why... Any thoughts?!?!?

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease), and my energy levels go up & down. In fact, I was misdiagnosed for years as bipolar.
But with no thyroid, your levels are entirely controlled by medication. Talk to your GP—your cyclical moods might be unrelated to your thyroid. (For example, perimenopause.)
How's your T3? Perhaps you'll respond better to adding Cytomel to your Synthroid, or switching to Armour.0 -
I've noticed the same thing myself. I'm usually much more easy going but, every now and then I get unreasonably frustrated at the most benign things that normally wouldn't bother me. Or I get hyper emotional about something I'm reading/watching/listening to like crying during the Transformers movie. I don't know what causes it but, you're certainly not alone.0

Oh yes! I have experienced the same thing. Not tears but 0 to angry. It stands to reason when we consider that our hormones are interdependent which can affect our moods... I was on Synthroid/cytomel for 14 yrs and recently switched to Naturethyroid and have noticed quite a significant improvement on my mood/emotions. A smoothing is how I would describe it. It makes sense to me. However adequate a synthetic replacement might be it cannot possibly compare to what nature can provide.0
