Ok, so this morning was my follow up at the doctors, to check on my progress or as the doc said to check my homework.
First off I had lost 7 pounds according to the doctors scale -YEAH ME!!!!
Then off to the exam room, temperature - normal, BP - 160 over 90 - WHAT!!!! that can't be right I told the nurse. So she checked it again, 140 over 85, so we got to talking for a few minutes and she took it again. It was still high, she then said I must have White Coat syndrome. I said here take a look at what I'm getting at home, lot's of pretty numbers - 109/68, 115/75, and so on. She agreed at how well I am doing at home. I told her that it was okay, because I knew my doctor would take my BP when he came in. Sure enough when the doc took my BP it was.....get ready for this.... 112/78!! How awesome was that.
So he told me to continue to keep up with what I was doing - So NO BP Med's for ME!!!!!!
So now I go back in 6 mos. to see him, 3 mos. for my blood work.
Hope you all are doing well, time to get back to work.
