No working out :(

Hey all! So I got into a vehicle accident last week Friday and I can't do any kind of heavy lifting, cardio or anything like that. I've got whiplash and i'm off work for awhile. So with that being said, should I continue to eat at a deficit to lose fat? Or should I eat at maintenance? I only have a few % left to go and about one or two size smaller that i wanna be.

If you still have fat to lose, eat at a small deficit, can't do any harm....

That's what I was thinking too0

If your body is trying to recover - I'd suggest eating at maintenance until the worst is over.
Just like you can't really build muscle in a deficit, if your body is trying to rebuild structures and heal ligaments, tendons (very hard those 2 anyway), and muscles, the last thing you need is a deficit.
Just like if you were sick.
Your body is attempting to use extra energy anyway you can't estimate.
Just confirm you recalc your TDEE since it has obviously changed.0 -

I would honestly eat at TDEE for a few weeks to allow your body to heal and recover. This is not a race and so allowing your body to get what it needs is a better thing than just losing weight and having a longer recovery!0
