Week : Day 1 The advantage of Advantage Response Card (ARC)

One of the first groundwork steps that The Beck Diet Solution asks you to do is to write down all the advantages you will experience if you lose weight and keep it off. These are intended to be read twice a day and whenever we are faced with temptation so we remain clear that losing weight is important to us and why. My reasons quickly filled up multiple cards! Some are more compelling to me than others and some actually surprised me. Which advantages keep you motivated on a daily basis? Any surprises? When is your ARC most helpful to you?

    My primary one is, "I don't want to die fat". My ARCs are a living document. I add to them. Another one of my favorites is "I am a person who is willing to work hard to achieve my weight loss and fitness goals.".
