My gym doesn't have a squat rack. Is it better to squat with a barbell - but because you've got to lift it over your head it's not going to be as big as you could squat - OR squat using heavier dumbbells?

There's a million ways to squat. You can use dumbbells. I'm currently doing front squats. Look around on youtube and you'll find something that will work for you0

I have a barbell set at home and I stalled out at about 75 lbs on my squat because that's all I can safely press and lift onto my shoulders. For now, I have decided to focus on doing more reps and sets at this weight until I can get access to my school's awesome gym in mid-August.0

I do hack squats since I lift at home and don't have a rack.

I'd never heard of these but I like the look of them. I used dumbells but these look like they would be closer to the firm you get with a rack.0 -

I workout at home and can't wait to try these either. Thanks!0 -
