Hey all! Sorry I didn't get checked in yesterday. Busy day. Did some shopping. Go some books. Odds and ends too, like replacement iPad chargers, etc. Also still working on these chest pains with various supplements, so hit the vitamin shop. Spent time at my sisters. Really not very active though. It's all driving here instead of walking. Oh. Did get shoes though. Back in Winter I was wearing Chucks and my legs got better, so I got another pair. They're crazy expensive in Greece, so saved a lot.
Laura...As for the food thing, well first all the ads are food!! Olive Garden, Red Lobster, whatever. And it is so tempting looking. They work the science of human psychology when they put these ads together. But the big difference between here and Greece is prepared foods. Food is just ready when you are. My sister came home from the store (some organic grocer or smthg) with a Thai coconut chili soy nuggets all ready to be shoveled into my pie hole, which I did (despite having already eaten). In Greece, to hav that, I'd have to find a recipe, go online to a Facebook expat group to ask where in Athens I can find some of the ingredients, go to a couple different stores, and make it at home to eat that. But there I was just shoveling it in, ez pz. And houses are so big, there's plenty of space for pantries full of food, whereas with our small apt, we kinda shop for whatever we are having every day and our kitchen stays somewhat bare ( not totally bare, but a bag of chips and box of cookies j.i.c. for kids =/= a pantry full of 4 or 5 different chips, crackers, party mix, cookies, sweet buns, granola bars, cereals, et etc etc) and then there's the Schwan guy who delivers food! Next thing you know the freezer is full of microwave foods and ice cream. DH or I usu just pick up some ingredients every afternoon for whatever we're cooking that night, and we don't have a microwave so we can't just nuke up some jalapeño poppers or whatever. For us, food is the biggest hassle of th day...coming up with ideas, chasing down the ingredients, cooking mostly from scratch. But here, food is a pleasure and very easy and accessible with lots of variety. It's really a huge difference.
Anyway, packing up to go to the beach bright and early tomorrow. Think there'll be wifi there.

Lol Sherry i saw a magnet i want to buy that says, Buy organic or as your grandparents say food!
Yes its too easy to buy food here ready made, not just junk crap food but even too much healthy food already prepared, lots of calories for every kind of eater.
During this traveling lifestyle, whenever we settle in where there is a kitchen i am forcing myself to make a few healthy meals and order some salads out, its hard with menus full of tempting things.
Not getting as much exercise either. Going to try for walk tomorrow and sunday going to visit daughter and go to her gym.
Thank god both my girls have my exercise gene! Laura my young one runs like most of you and does weights at gym, julie my older one i will see soon, does weights, cardio machines and kick boxing classes. Both will hike with me but i havent with Laura since Yosemite years ago.
