To be honest, being in a new place and in a constantly changing environment has caused my systems to break down (tying into the other thread). I'm barely logging food on MFP, whereas I used to log it religiously before or as I was eating it. Now, I'm catching up AFTER THE FACT every night, and it is not pretty!
Well, here in OBX, it's a great place to be active, but since my running shoes were causing my leg problems, I didn't bring them or my running clothes. And now, my left knee is hurting...oddly enough I think it's from wearing flat shoes or barefoot in this beach house which has thick carpet (I'm used to marble or hardwood, not plush soft carpet). Sigh. Again, just when my calf was getting better from flat shoes, we Change environment and it all breaks down. But it's a nice vacay. If you don't hear from me, it just means we are uber busy with each other. It's me and my kids and MIL, my sis and her hubby and kids, my bro and his wife and daughter, and my parents...14 of us total. My sis and bro and their spouses like to eat and drink and drink and drink a lot. A lot. I kinda wish I could come here with just my lil family and do more active stuff. I'm not drinking and my eating isn't great but could probably be worse too. Wish my knee was better though. Might try the hot tub.
Anyway, have a good one!! Holiday weekend coming soon!0 -
Hi, well you didn't mention Greece falling apart today so you must be ok. Does it affect you at all?
I drove a hour to spend day with daughter, we went to her gym did treadmill, eliptical, some leg weights then swam, felt great!
Of course then we went out to lunch and had frozen yogurt later but still....
Very fun day went shopping for dress for her to wear to bosses wedding, she is one of the top managers so we wanted her to look classy. Found a cute blue dress with lace and pretty silver sandals.

Marla, yes it affects us and I'm watching the news and texting with hubby every morning. For Greece, although things may be getting bad, actually things have BEEN bad already and now it's just exciting for the people to have some self determination...to at least have the choice between the rock or the hard place, or between the kettle or the fire. Sounds strange, but even when all options are bad, it's better to make the choice than to have it made for you by your politicians or worse yet by someone from another country who was appointed not even elected. Anyway, life goes on!0
