fabulous forties and skinny fat

So goal weight (123lbs) reached for my height of 5'4 and tape measured body fat percentage went from 25 % to 18 %. I now have a slightly annoying flabby layer which does not warrant a tummy tuck but which I would love to lose. Anyone else in the same situation? Strategies to help?

Do you do any strength training? If not, Stronglifts 5x5 and New Rules of Lifting for Women are both good resources. I'm working on that for some "jiggly spots" and am seeing a difference since starting to lift heavier.

This thread has some good information about getting that nice stomach :)

Awesome, will check out! Normally do 30 min cardio and 20 min weights on gym equipment (not free weights ).

A lot of people on here recommend the free weights if you're able. The gal who wrote the thread I posted also wrote: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/971636/my-story-of-sweet-revenge-pics/p1 . She knows her stuff!

Yes, I am in the same situation. I would love to lose that annoying flabby layer (tummy fat) as well... it almost goes away when I get down to around 124lbs (my current goal). I am about 6 lbs away from that now. I've also started strength training, but doing home workouts at the gym is out of the question at the moment. My strategy is slow and steady at 1200ish cals a day, and not eating back exercise calories. And at least 5 days a week of strength training/cardio to help carve off the tummy. Love you tube and my work out videos!
