Re: Setting Calorie Goals: I'm curious how you all have set your calorie goals in MFP. I found that when I used the automatic calculator, the goal was way too low for healthy weight loss, so I found an article on WebMD (I really trust that site for good health advice) and set it based on their guidelines. Did anyone have the same experience?0

I calced my BMR less 500 calories to start, which woud be 2300-500=1800, but I only hit that 3-4 days a week now.0

I have mine set to lose 0.5 lbs per week. I can hit the goal easily if I exercise, but I really have to pay attention all day and plan to make it work on rest days.

All tracked for Tuesday! I've been on mfp for a week and I've lost 3 pounds! I know it's mostly water weight but hey the scale moved!0

I set mine to lose a pound a week. So far I've been able to stick within the 1400 a day calories. Sometimes I have to eat some healthy fat to even get close. Maybe I'm being too picky with my foods but I'm staying away from breads and pasta as much as I can. I find if I eat them I just can't stop eating them lol0
