60+ Friends to Connect With?

I did a couple of rounds of MFP, but with 12 months of frustrating thyroid and hormonal health issues (and weight gain!) I threw in the towel. I am feeling better and seem to be on the right dosage of meds, so I want to take a stab at this again. I follow a lower carb food plan coupled with Paleo/Primal (but will never be 100%!) Would love to connect with other folks my age, even if we are not exactly on the same path. We all have the same goal in mind...to lose weight and be healthy, right? Friend me if that sounds good to you, too, and we'll move forward together!

Keep forgetting to put this note in.
If there is someone you'd like to friend, tap/click on their picture, picture icon, or name. You get a menu that includes Add Friend. Enter your name and a message. A friend request then is sent by MFP to that person. They then can accept or decline.
Most of us have small friend lists, as it takes time to fulfill the unwritten social contact of reading posts, and offering encouragement and insight on food diaries.

I, too am coming back! So not really a newbie but a newbie again!
@Grok_Granny I am on Paleo eating plan totally. I have done very well and do not see me eating standard menu again. But, I was diagnosed with a rare stomach disease (SM) a year ago. Paleo seems to be my answer for the SM as once I started I have not had many of the daily pains that are associated with this disease.

Hi there ! My name is Mary Ann & I live in NY. Just turned 64. Been on MFP for awhile after losing weight with South Beach Diet. I used to be so consistent, logging daily. Had actually "joined" this group but never even got around to saying "hi" ..... work & home gobbled up all my time. Now I'm on MFP again ..... hope to hear some pleasant conversation & occasional advice. Wishing everyone a super day !0

I should introduce myself - i'm pat, i'm closing in on 61, enjoy sailing - been retired for 2 years. I've been on MFP off/on for years. Lost 25# several yrs ago - then life happened and I clearly didn't have the habits to not put it all back on again. Spent my summer on the couch with a broken ankle ... Now I'm trying to get myself back on track again. I love the monthly challenge!0

Oh, somehow I missed it when Carole and Sherri and grandmafish came in! And now we're greeting Pat, hi Pat!
Wow, we really are growing ... as a group, that is... Naturally as individuals we are melting away. Well, some of us are melting away and the rest of us are visualizing doing so... And it all starts in the mind, doesn't it? It really does.
So, welcome aboard!

Welcome to newbies and returnees! Our great advantage is that we can draw on each other's understanding of our changing bodies, and wise enough to appreciate the different methods that work for each of us to be healthier. And we're smart in so many ways. :-)0

Hello, I'm old as dirt and happy as hell that I have found this site. I've never been more motivated to return to 25 years ago when I could run and jump and.....ok maybe 35 years ago.....but anyway, nice to meet you all! Can't wait to be able to buy clothes off the rack again and stop being punished with big men's shops prices!0
