Can you believe it's July already?? Any big plans for the 4th? Any vacation plans to help with your miles? A coworker just came back from vacation and was telling me about staying in a village on the coast where they did nothing but walk and bike everywhere. How motivating would that be!?!

What's everyone's goals for the month? With the change in seasons, how are you switching up your workouts and staying cool and motivated?

My goals this month are to get back on track! No days under 3 to start. 10 days at 5 or more. Did it in May, should be able to get it this month! My mileage goal is 120.

Canada Day here - so maybe we will take in some fireworks. It is banned in some areas because of all the fires here in Saskatchewan.

My goals in July are 120 miles, 20 days over 10,000 steps. Last month I made my 120 steps but not 20 days over 10,000. I made 14 days over though, so I am getting there.

I have several Leslie Sansone DVD's so when it is hot I go down to my basement where it is nice and cool and walk with Leslie.

Our TOPS chapter has a challenge this week to make 1000 steps more than last week..... so let's see if I can do that! Last week - 69212 steps.

Back with y'all...sorry for my absence! Sometimes we make it outside in time to get a good walk in...have to be out the door by 5:45 these days...(AZ desert temps to deal with)...if I don't make it...I will use my pedal thing a ma jig to get my miles in. That's what I had to do today.

Will check in, in the morning with my total for today. Thanks you guys for keeping this going. I'm in!

    Goal is 100 miles!

Awesome ideas!! I stood in front of the TV last night and finished off my last 1000 steps to hit my 3 miles. LOL...need to work on getting my steps earlier in the day! (I come to work at 0530 and sit all day, so it's hard when I first get home, and I haven't gotten a solid routine in place yet, still adjusting to the hours.) I need to start bringing clothes to work and get my behind back in the gym!!! We've actually had some milder temps than normal (Tennessee) and it doesn't seem that it's been as humid. Had a week where we approached 100, but we've been staying in the mid 80s. No excuses for not getting out.

    1st - 3.01 miles

    Morning all...

    1st 4.12 miles

Looks like I need to get out there now. I sure understand what it is like to be behind a desk the whole time at work. Hard to get a body that is stationary, to move once you get home.

Have a good day everyone...just the three of us for now...I suspect more will join in.

Good luck everyone. You've all been doing good. Keep up the good work.
I'm not sure how the active minutes work. Sometimes it seems like they are missing or something. But I have decided to keep track of them anyway.

    July 1 - 06.5 miles 44 active minutes

And here I sit...behind a desk all day. Did not get out there early. Will have to pedal twenty minutes, at least, when I get home tonight. At least I will have something fun to watch. Have a great day everyone.

Vicky, this is the link to the Ticker Factory...you just follow the prompts along to get it. I think at the end, you use the first code ... copy and paste here to get it to post. My directions are not so great. See if that helps you, to start.

Good start everyone!! We had a nice easy-going weekend. :) Took a much needed day off of work and did very few of the home tasks that need tackling - probably going to regret that, but very much enjoyed taking it easy for a few days.

    2 - 3.09
    3 - 3.73
4 - 3.1 (we did 2 hours of bowling, so I feel like it should have shown a lot more activity!!)
    5 - 3.0

    Total - 15.93

I charged my fitbit last night and forgot to put it on today!!! Oh no! Going to have a lot of steps to get in tonight!

    6th - 3.04 = 18.97

Not breaking any records, but at least I am moving. And thanks for the reminder MLH... I have been charging my fitbit and need to put it on.

BTW, I am using the large band for the flex and I am wearing it on my ankle. I have a lot of little steps at work and at home in the kitchen...where there is no arm swinging. Anyway, I had googled it and found a lot of interest about wearing it on our ankles. Just some FYI stuff.
