Stayed on track/beat the craving

Went to a birthday party yesterday and stayed on track. I ate some macadamia nuts and drank water. I didn't have even a lick of frosting or a taste from the chocolate fountain. At the end of the night, my son fell and cut his leg open bad enough to take him to the ER (because every Dr and clinic was closed for the holiday). Anyway, that sort of thing is really stressful for me, and I was craving ice cream pretty bad, which was great because I could see my carb craving for what it was, a reaction to the stress. Instead of justifying to myself why I should let myself have it just this once, I got myself some salty lemon peanuts, and the craving for ice cream passed. What a WIN!

Great job! Stress can be hard on all of us, tempting us to turn to food for comfort. You beat it! WINNER!

Great job!! Stress is the worst thing for my cravings, too! I hope your son recovers quickly.
