Avoiding Trigger Foods Versus Moderation

Is it better to avoid trigger foods or just try to consume them in moderation. I realize it depends on the person, but I am really struggling with this issue. I successfully avoided my trigger foods for a couple months but have gone pretty off track lately. Would it be better just to try hard to cultivate self-control around certain foods so I can enjoy them in moderation?

Hi, speaking strictly personally here...I have found much greater peace of mind & moments of sanity avoiding my trigger foods altogether. I "try" to think of them as being something I am am allergic to, and the allergic reaction? Uncontrollable cravings! :(

I have learned over the years that my trigger foods are actually more about the situation than the food. For example, my first red, yellow, green list had a long red column of finger foods. It turned out that one of my major triggers was parties. You will figure out what works for you. Just keep paying attention. xo
