OT: anyone tried gotfunction.com for exercise training?

Hi folks,

In browsing YouTube videos in search of a good stretch for my overly tight hamstrings, I stumbled on a video from gotfunction.com, which led me to their website. I think they put out a lot, if not all of their content, free. The idea is to help folks build up functional, balanced fitness from fundamental skills/practices all the way to whatever level they wish to attain. Seems pretty cool.

I read a little on Nerd Fitness a while back. I like the philosophy, but they seemed to be steering me toward paid content. I don't have a problem with that necessarily, but I wasn't ready to dive into that yet, either.

Are there other sites/programs you love for fitness skill building?

Thanks!

Mary

No programs for me, but I always got a good hamstring stretch doing yoga. Downward Dog and all that. :)

I'll have to check it out, never heard of it. I need to strengthen my back, I'm stuck on the floor this week :(

My hamstrings are always tight. My quads and hip flexors are even worse. LOL I don't do yoga nearly as much as I probably should. I think I'm too Type A!

@wabmester, yes, I wholeheartedly agree that yoga is great for stretching hamstrings, and everything else! Downward dog, wide-angle forward bend, legs up the wall are all great for that. Even the warrior poses help, though they're more about strength, I think.

Took an Aqua Yoga class today with some sweet old biddies. Very different stability challenge, and it reset my cranky hips a bit.

@Raynne413, I noticed yesterday in Barre Fit just how weak my hip flexors are. One more thing to work on!
