    Been maintaining since May 31.

Today - 125 which is 4 lbs under my goal.

MFP is still helping me maintain. I guess if I don't want to gain back the weight, I am going to have to always log my food.

That should not be too much to do to be able to stay healthy and fit, should it?

:) I have been logging food and exercise daily with very few exceptions since 2009. I lost the weight I wanted in the first year and have maintained since then....I continue to refine the list of foods and eating behaviours that cause me trouble so I don't return to old habits. I love how I feel and the energy I have to deal with life.

That is wonderful to see a continued maintenance, it shows us all that when you get there you can stay there if you keep your focus on it.

@barbiecat - wow since 2009? That is awesome.

My goal is to do this "forever". It has worked so well for me and keeps me accountable.

Focus is the key. At least MFP keeps us aware and accountable.

    Today's weight - 122.4

Goal reached on May 31 of 129.

Will just try to stay here for now. Maintenance is going well.

    Anyone else close to maintenance?

:) My weight has stayed in a three pound range for over a year....my first year on MFP I lost too much weight and three health care professionals told me to gain weight...that was a scary thing to do but I increased gradually to the weight I am now.

I weigh morning and night every day and record the weight...I log food and exercise almost every day (maybe miss a day or two a month). Count steps with a pedometer every day, seek every opportunity to be active, and recognize that this is a lifetime journey--a new way of life...I gave up food as recreation and find other ways to have fun.

:) Vicki, one of the best things I did for myself was to stop using food as recreation. I plan my meals for the day and eat according to plan. I don't eat treats at events or when someone brings them to share. I stopped baking and decided to stop being famous for my great chocolate chip cookies. I decline birthday cake and special desserts that friends make and want to thrust on me. My husband knows that I don't want food treats as a gift. One Valentine's Day he bought me hand weights as a Valentine gift. <3

Good plan. Every occasion seems to revolve around food. We have to change that for ourselves and our health.
I have stopped baking too. It is just too much of a temptation. When my husband want desserts I tell him to eat them out at lunch or I buy a cake from the grocery and freeze it in portions for him. That is a good compromise for us both. My husband has finally learned to not even ask if I want something sweet he is eating. He would say "you can have just one bite". Yeah, right!!! It has gotten easier. We have to teach people what we want and expect.

    It does pay off.

Thanks. I have lost the lb. gained on vacation last weekend. I love eating out because I don't have to shop, cook and clean up but eating out has hidden sodium and fats. So can't do it very often. No choice last weekend because we were in a hotel. Did pretty good and got back to it last Monday. That is the key.

Yeah, we have way too much take out for dinner and my husband is making brownies right now, lol. My twins still live at home (22 y.o.). It is very hard not to have sweets and treats in the house...

OK. So last Monday, I was up about 1 lb from being on vacation for the week-end. Then I started a round of Predizone for my swollen nasal polyps. I was so afraid that I would not lose the lb and would also gain weight during this 11 day round of Predizone.

So I was really watching what I ate these past 7 days. I am happy to say that as of this morning, I have not only lost the 1 lb. gained but have lost an additional 2 lbs. I am now 119.8. 9.2 lbs below my goal weight on May 31. I did not mean to lose down to that but I will take it with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up.

Great to have that margin Vicki. I totally expected some gain when I read Prednisone, but nope, you navigated like a pro. You're a fabulous inspiration.

<3 Thanks. The prednisone was not a factor. I did fine on it.

121.6 - up a couple so I am working hard to get to 119 before Thanksgiving. We will be going to our son's for a week and I don't do as well as if I am at home eating my usual.
