I have only recently started my Keto journey and I know I have a lot to learn. I was introduced to this group early on and I learn something every day. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging and understanding. I have started following other Keto groups on Facebook or blogs on pintrest to find recipes. Recently I came across a support group that at first seemed very informational, but I quickly learned they were just a bunch of bullies. Of any of the groups or pages I have found I think this one to be the best. So I just wanted to say thank you to all the members and admins for being supportive and recognizing we are all different in many ways but that doesn't mean we have to beat each other down. Thank you.

I really like being here too. It's nice to know that I have the option of discussion with likeminded individuals and asking questions to a knowledgeable group that doesn't feel like I am jumping in a shark tank. <3

    *Hi Fives*

Totally agree with you. I've joined several low-carb & keto groups, and i was amazed at how unhelpful, unsupportive, unknowledgable (although they think they know everrrrrything) and cocky/flippant some of those communities were. One that comes to mind is the Keto board at BodyBuilding.com. I thought for sure those guys would know what they're on with and be really helpful, but unfortunately NOT. My 1st question to them was: "Will ON pre-wokout take me out of ketosis". My 1st (and almost only answer) was: "Who cares?!". Yeah, thanks, helpful, much. All of my posts there have similar responses. So ive stopped posting - screw them i say!

This here community is one in a million - really i think of you guys as my little Keto family! I love it here so much. I know for sure i wouldnt have made it through all the lows since going Keto (and yes, there have been many, albeit many highs too) if it werent for my lovely friends here. You guys rock. We're stronger as a 'team' than solo - pity the peeps on other forums dont realise that (what are they there for anyway if they dont want to be helpful & supportive?) :)

I agree..i never visit the other boards anymore. I also must add that I have been a member of mfp for a long time and NEVER posted anything because I was afraid I would get yelled at.
With this group I feel so comfortable and I am not afraid to join in a conversation.. plus since I joined this group and started following Keto I am now losing weight and I haven't been able to do that in a really long time :). Everyone here is awesome!

Yes, the main forums have a bit of an issue with divisive attitudes toward many WOEs. The site mods are working on it. But let's not talk about them any further, ok?

I love that I can ask anything and even though I know it may have been asked and answered many times before, I always get patience and help with my question. Thank you!

    This is a great group!

Lots of knowledge in the room.

It is nice to ask questions and get experiences shared from so many people that have found ways to make the various iterations of LC work!

I'm reading The Power of Habit based on a recommendation @mlinton_mesapark made in passing. Good book! One of the factors in successfully changing habits is feeling like you're part of a team -- letting the momentum of others drive you forward. So....

    Go Team! :)
