Hey gang,
Enjoy your free days because the Queen of Treadmill will be cracking her whip before we know it!
If anyone cares to join me, I'm on a 3-day detox from carbs this weekend. Lots of broccoli, salad, chicken, and fish.
My sister goes back to Kentucky tomorrow, which breaks my heart to pieces. I hate having her so far away!!!
We're off to Boston in a short while to see our niece and great niece. Congrats to all for another good mini challenge. Remember--PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION!

Updates on Goals:
My Goals:
1. Continue to stay off the scale. Made a commitment to BFF to stay off until 7/13 (my birthday). Last day on the scale was 6/18/15 (at 244.2 including some water weight).
2. Get a minimum of 80 oz of water/liquid per day. My true goal is 120 oz daily, but I suffer on weekends due to sleeping in, so 80 oz minimum should be a solid goal I can hit every single day, without fail.
3. Stay on my Ketogenic diet (LCHFMP - low carbs, high fats, moderate proteins; goal is 25-50 grams carbs - lower is better; so far, have not gone over 50 grams net since 1/15/15.).
4. Take some progress pictures. Looking back at my pictures from last March, even though I regained and lost pounds, my body recomposition is SO MUCH. I really need new pics.
5. Mental health time - take two sessions in the next ten days to blog, journal, meditate, walk, or anything soothing.
1. 100% compliance. No scale weighing. Scale likely needs dusting.
2. 100% compliance. I had a couple days I had to push to get that 80 oz due to circumstances, but was around 100 oz nearly every day.
3. 100% compliance. I had some higher carb days due to broccoli and one other thing I can't recall, but never went over 50 grams TOTAL.
4. 100% compliance. Not the pictures I intended to take (to compare to March), but took some that compared to LAST MAY, so check!
5. 100% compliance. Blogged more than twice, and got some mental clarity.
Okay, that does it. Either I need to set better goals, I'm an utterly ridiculous perfectionist, or this keeps up with my no challenge goal... I'm not sure which. I have a couple things to set for my next challenge that a little different markers, but that will come when we state intentions Monday. I'm hoping one thing doesn't end up on that list, because I've already done it...but will advise later.
Enjoy your detox, Karen. I'm going to focus on less stress eating trying to wrap up the mystery task today and this weekend if necessary.0 -
Despite being around MANY tempting food choices today, I'm doing well on Day 1 of my detox.
And here's the amazing photo of the day--my darling sister holding our great niece for the first time.
