Yay! I exercised a lot and cut calories. It made me a bit grumpy and lethargic, so I didn't kick myself too much for eating over my allotment a couple days. I'm a little bummed because I weighed in at 159.4 in the middle of the week, but I'll take 160.6 if it sticks. I only ate extra fruit twice this week which is definitely an improvement. I think I'll stick with that another week at least. I think it really helped!
Hope you all have a productive week!0 -

Well I was hoping to lose a bit more than I did but I'm happy I had a loss. On another note I did lose 1/2 an inch off of my waist!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!0 -
I know I posted earlier this morning, but... I was a bit depressed about how I hadn't lost anything. And just now I had the realization that the capri pants I'm wearing right now were tight on me a couple months ago when I bought them. Now they fit my hips fine and are lose in the thighs. Yay for a non-scale victory! I'm feeling much better now.
Keep going everyone! Have a great weekend!
PS @MissMeaganLyn Congrats on getting into the 160s! Well done!0 -

I am happy to see the scale going down but I am always amazed at how hard it is to get weight off after vacation. I am getting back into relatively healthy eating habits but not getting in nearly enough water or exercise. The weather seems to be starting to cooperate more so hopefully this will start to change in the next few weeks and I can get back to running more regularly.
@rebeccatherine great NSV. The scale is evil, and although I have not been able to completely rid myself of reliance to the scale to measure progress I find so much more satisfaction in victories that come from other modes of measurements whether it be inches, the way clothes fit, or being able to exercise in a way that I couldn't before. Awesome job, keep working and eventually you will see it on the scale as well.
@MissMeaganLyn Great job on the loss (both weight and inches) you are on a great pace to hit your goal for this challenge!0 -

*Sigh* I knew my food was way off this week, but I exercised a ton. I was hoping it would have balanced out a bit more. I'm starting to think my body doesn't want to be under 160! This coming week will be more predictable with work so I'll be back to my regular routine. Here's to better food choices and more water!
NSV for the week though: I hiked farther yesterday than I ever have! 16.5 miles!0 -

I can't believe that I just typed that number, 166.2. That's the lowest I've been since I gave birth to my son over 10 months ago. I stuck with counting calories and I ate a small dinner a few hours before bed. I also didn't do any hardcore workouts. I just walked my dogs and cleaned and stayed busy on my feet. I find that when I work out hard, I'm so hungry and I end up eating it all back and I don't see the scale move. So I think I'm going to focus mostly on my diet and start to get into the more intense exercising once I get to my goal weight or really close to it.

While I'm happy to be down again this week, I'm getting frustrated because I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. My weight is on a seesaw instead of on a slide. I'm overdoing late night snacking. I didn't exercise at all three days this week because my ankle has been hurting from overuse last week. I missed two training days for C25K. *Sigh* Okay. I'm going to stop complaining now and get back to reminding myself that I'm the lightest I've ever been and in general I'm doing alright. I may not hit my goal for this challenge, but if I've made progress, it's still progress.MissMeaganLyn wrote: »Starting weight (7/10): 172

Wait loss again. Really happy to report that. I think I'm going to do low intensity cardio and lift weights to keep muscle mass and safe the intense stuff for one I get to my weight loss goal. I find that when I go running I am so hungry and I tend to make unhealthy choices as far as food goes and I eat a little more than I should. I hope you guys are having a great summer and keep up the good work!!!0 -

Had friends in from out of town so there was a lot of eating out, plus I attended my local State Fair and indulged in a lot of fried foods. The State Fair on happens once a year so I don't feel *horrible* about indulging, but my weight paid the price.0 -

Well, I hit 159 on Friday, and that was pretty exciting. I think my overall trend is going down, if ever so slowly. I've been weighing everyday with another app, and it calculates trends.
I hit a personal record for distance on my bike on Friday! 30 miles!!! And that was on top of a barre/stretch class and a 4 mile run/walk. ... So I think overall I'm happy with this week's progress.
This week's goals: no snacking after dinner, roasted veggies for snacks instead of overdoing dried fruit and nuts, and more sleep!0 -

Didn't reach my goal. Basically maintained for this challenge. I always struggle in the summer. I find there is so many more temptations to indulge. Between BBQ, ice cream, fairs, and just general lack of cooking due to summer heat I am glad that I manage to maintain. I have managed to get my eating on track the last week of this challenge. Hopefully going into September I can keep my eating on track and add in more exercise as the temperatures are less obnoxious!

I weighed in today instead of Sunday because I'll be out of town (and I like today's number!). I've been meeting my goals this week (finally!!!) and it's paying off! This weekend I want to be a little lax with my diet, but I have to keep it strict or I'll go right back up again! Thanks everyone for the accountability and encouragement!
