I had a quiet day too. Hope your epic water ballon war went well!!!

Still cleaning my stuff out. Will it ever end????? Thinking about my goals for the next round of our mini-challenge!

Karen, do you drive to Boston?? If so, how long does it take to get there??

This week at work is going to be quiet. 90% of the 'locals' have it off...there rest of us work!! It is the last week of Ramadan...is usually quiet which is a good thing! Can get a lot done....like cleaning out my office and getting rid of stuff! Actually started that process about a month ago. So am a bit ahead of the game. Just wish cleaning out my apartment would go as quickly!!! But not a chance!!

OK folks, am off to get into bed and read a bit!! Have a great day and great weekend!!

Nancy, I imagine you have a LOT of decisions to make about what to leave behind and what to take. I would err on the side of keeping'-pay the extra shipping--only because every time I moved back to the states after living overseas, I always regretted some of the things I left behind (like the warmest down sleeping bag EVER).

I DO drive to Boston. On a day without traffic, I can be there in 2 hours. My niece lives 30 minutes south of the city, so we left at 7 a.m. and were at her place by 9:30. Coming home, we hit heavy traffic and the drive was 4 and a half hours. After banging on dirt paths and over tree roots at the wildlife park on Thursday, 7 hours in the car yesterday pretty much crippled me. I'm supposed to be filling balloons and instead am packed in ice on the couch. If you are thinking of a visit, Boston is an amazing historical city--I would love to show you around.

Okay, time for me to get up and fill balloons. Last day of our Kentucky visitors. I am so, so, so sad to see them go, especially my sister. The house is going to get very quiet.

Ok here though made a rookie error. Weighed myself this morning down to 15-6 (my lightest yet and 2lb from my 4stone loss). Stupidly weighed tonight and have gained 5lb. Im on my TOM and had not long eaten or drunk and I know it was a daft thing to do but now craving the fudge I know is in the cupboard

Resist, Lise! You can do it!
And remember to stay off that scale til your TOM is done! I am in carb he'll today as children and guests are running around and house is full of pizza, chips, and candy. How am I resisting? I made myself an amazing salad with feta cheese and packed it up in a to-go box to take out on the porch.

What a wonderful day--lots of children, lots of water balloons, communal lunch and dinner on the porch, frisbee baseball, snorkeling in the lily pads....

I am SO proud of myself for sticking to my plan.

Tomorrow we all gather at our favorite breakfast spot for the sendoff to Kentucky. (veggie omelet, yum).

Where are the rest of you and what are you doing?

Apparently I am the only babbling fool today. I need to work out my mini goals for the next challenge. I'm thinking:
    1. Exercise 30+ minutes daily.
    2. Healthy and beauty maintenance activity daily (I'd like to make face yoga a habit!)
    3. Take steps to transition to a meal plan. (I don't know what that looks like yet, but I know I'd like to be less haphazard about meals.)
    4. And here's the biggie: SUGAR FREE FOR ALL TEN DAYS.

Number 4 is going to be tough, but I've been letting too much sugar sneak back in (even my "light" yogurt has it! grrrrr!), and I'm in the mood to experiment with some low carb/sugar free dessert recipes.

Nancy, what are you watching now that Grimm is done? My sister tells me I need to watch The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. In the summer though, I hate to sit in front of a t.v.; there are plenty of miserable winter days for that.

Well, I know my next series is not acceptable by most people, which is why I never mentioned it. But now that you asked.... 'Orange is the new Black" is what i am watching and it really is good. Heck I watch almost anything! Game of Thrones Season 1-4 is next I think...sitting in the boxes. I have done the entire Big Bang Theory and that is sooooo funny. We just don't have the last season here yet...don't even think Amazon offers it yet. I still have True Blood, Vampire Dairies, Blue Bloods, NICS, Criminal Minds...and on and on....all sitting in their DVD box sets here. So I will be busy!!

I am thinking about my goals too!! Stay tuned. Need to make them small, and realistic so I can be proud to complete them, but also challenge me too!

Karen - side note. Pretty much anything light will have added sugar or salt or fat to compensate for whatever they took out. You're better off with the full fat "unrefined" versions of items in moderation in most cases.

Carly, the Yoplait light used to be sweetened with splenda, which is apparently an evil faux sugar now, so now it contains "real sugar!" I guess it's time to make my own flavored yogurt with the plain stuff, stevia, and some crushed fruit.
