Keto Mouth Blues

I've had the keto mouth really bad for a while now. Was on the shake diet preop for 2 weeks, and it was not as bad.
After surgery though. I feel like my mouth is made out of dirty pennies. Gum and mints only help for a few minutes. The shakes are overly sweet and metallic. I've had some strained soups, which seem to make the taste go away for a few minutes.
Anyone else have this dirty metal mouth curse? Sorry just needed to rant a bit

I'm just the opposite, maybe I'm just used to it now. I had read about it and when I started to have it, my first reaction was "yeah, my body's burning fat now".0

I found that sugar-free altoids help with the keto-breath0

I had it right after my surgery, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Are you a fairly recent post-op?0

Give it time. It sucks now, but it'll go away. Hang in there!0

It goes away as you get more hydrated too. But, when I am doing well, I never really get rid of it even 10 months out. I try and chew sugar free gum and always have water with me and I try to remember that it's a clear sign my body is getting rid of fat.0
