How to catch a man's eye

I probably wouldn't approach someone in jeans and a hoodie, there's nothing sexy about that.
I would. I guess it depends on the guy. I agree with everyone saying wear what you like and approach the guy yourself.
I would too, especially if it was something geeky related.
To the OP: wear something that makes you feel sexy and confident.
I go out geek chic or hoodie. I don't care if I attract a guy or not, and if I see someone interesting while I'm there I strike up a convo. Worst case scenario he turns out to be boring and I wander away. Hasn't failed me yet.0 -
Even better than an outfit, maybe something that is visible that tells people a little bit about yourself and offers the opportunity for someone with similar interests an easy way to start a conversation. I know that I don't usually strike up a random conversation without something to relate on, but that's just me.
I'm having a hard time coming up with examples, though... Anyone?
I've noticed novels people have had with them, pets, band t-shirts, etc. I'm not saying to carrying *kitten* around with you to look cool, but... wait, I guess I sort of am. Sounds lame now that I read it back.
Anyway, that kind of thing catches my eye.0 -
^ I agree, an interesting something goes a long way. I once had a guy come up to me at a party because I was wearing a Chicago Blackhawks tee-shirt. Of course he was friendly and not interested in me, but had he been it would've been a good jumping off point.
Back in college my friends and I sometimes would go out to the bar in matching outfits, like the same tee-shirts with a crazy patten. It is a conversation starter! I also have seen people comment on unique jewelry.0 -
Tube socks... A hot pink fishnet 80s glove... A blinking shot glass... A "happy birthday" pin...
All have worked for me.0 -
make eye contact look away then quickly look back with a coy smile..0

I would not wear that top with those shorts. The top is over-dressed and the shorts are under-dressed. It's a bit of an oxymoron and makes my head hurt just thinking about it.
i know! it looks like she spilled something on her work skirt or work pants and used the first thing she could find to cover her bottom while the other thing dried; what she found was some shorts from someone else's old freakum outfit in the back of an empty desk.

I would wear those shorts before I would wear that top. See this is what makes us all different. I could never wear something buttoned up and boxy like that as it makes me look like one giant boob and adds about 15 lbs to me.0
