Food data from MFP not showing up

I've got MFP & my Link sync'ed, but I noticed that only today and the 1st day I got it did ANY of my food data from MFP inport over to BodyMedia's activity manager. Is there something I'm not doing? I'm making sure to sync the Link to my phone several times a day, but do I need to hook-up the Link directly to a PC to get this data to show up?

I'm still learning about the Link - recently left FitBit for it - but there seems to be a lack of information about certain things.

Any suggestions?

Did you set your Activity Manager to third party for the food log?

If not, go into your Activity Manager. Click on Settings/Preferences. Under Nutrition for logging mode select Third Party. I think that is all I did on the BMF end of things to get it to work.

You'll also have to link the apps here on MyFitnessPal, too.

This is the only way I know how to link BodyMedia and MyFitnessPal together. I hope this helps! :)

    1. Login to your Activity Manager. As someone else mentioned, mouseover on the Settings tab and click Preferences. Select "Third Party" under Logging Mode.

    2. Now click on the tab that says Apps.

    3. In the blue navigation bar (All, Nutrition, Fitness, BodyMedia, etc), click on Nutrition. You will see MyFitnessPal listed here, so click on this.

Side note: You can also see MyFitnessPal if 1. You click on All and go to the second page or 2. Allow the featured rotator to spin to the MyFitnessPal banner.

    4. When you arrive to the MyFitnessPal page, you will see a blue button that says Connect App. Click this.

    5. A popup will come up that says "Leaving BodyMedia FIT Application." Click on the Go button.

    6. Another popup will appear that says "Authorize BodyMedia?" and press the Allow button. Everything will be linked.

Here is the Apps page with MyFitnessPal on the Nutrition tab as well as the featured rotator.

I'm not sure what I did, but suddenly I am getting the food data from MFP. I did unsync both and resync, so maybe that "corrected" something. As long as it works, I'm happy - thanks for the hints and suggestions. I'll keep them written down in case it stops.

And as I tried syncing this morning, the food data is missing again. "Thrid Party" is still chosen and I'm gonna re-try to sync everything again.

Then I see several people are having issues connecting to the servers - wonder if the BodyMedia site is down?

They recently posted a Facebook status:

"We’re currently experiencing problems with the MyFitness Pal (MFP) app. This may result in you not being able to link to your account and it’s preventing foods from transferring between BodyMedia and MFP. We're working to fix this as quickly as possible and will let you know when it’s been resolved. Thanks for your patience!"

It now seems to be working... I went online and unlinked MFP, then relinked it and it worked!
