Next week is my annual 'wellness' checkup. (whatever happened to just calling it a physical?)
Can't eat or drink anything but water for 8 hours before. Appointment is at 11:00.
I figure by blood sugar should be pretty low by that time if I do a nice 5 mile or 10KM swim that morning
I'll keep some MIO Fit handy so I can get some electrolyte replacement going right after the appointment.
But jut water during the swim. I typically lose 3 to 4 pounds of water weight in a 3+ miles swim. And that is consuming a quart of water during the swim.
Just hoping to not cramp up during the 5 mile that day

That should also make your blood pressure low as well. I used to lose 3 or 4 lbs swimming long distances, but I do not drink water while I swim. Most I've ever lost in a work-out, when I was keeping track, was 6 lbs. Can't remember if that was biking or swimming.0

Life interfered with my plans to swim before the appointment. Oh well.
Swimming after work instead. I suppose it was okay. I would have been a lot hungrier by 11:00, lower blood sugar too. And probably crankier0 -
Hope it went well!0

Lovely cholesterol numbers again. Triglycerides keep falling
CHOL 192
CHOL/HDL 2.1
HDLD 90
TRIG 40
LDLc 94
NHDL 102
Fasting Blood GLucose 83. Would have been a little lower if I did my swim that morning0 -
I don't know how to interpret any of that, but it looks good from your happy faces!0

Triglycerides were 311 in 2009.
This week? 40. About an 87% drop. Lower Trig is good.
The rest are the breakdown of Cholesterol. HDL (good) LDL (bad)0
