One study says low carb linked to shorter life expectancy

There's another article talking about diet in blue zones on Earth where there are a lot more Centenarians (ppl older than 100 years), and their diet is mostly plant based. Very little meat, i'm not sure about fat yet. Got to read more on those.

If you don't eat a lot, you'll probably live longer. If carbs make you eat too much, you may have a problem.

A lot of people, perhaps even most people, have no problems with a high-carb diet. I do, so I eat low carb.

Rather than looking at studies of large populations, it's probably more helpful to know how carbs affect you personally. Weight gain? High triglycerides? Low HDL? High insulin? You may be better off with a low-carb diet long term.

I think being incredibly overweight probably has more risk of cutting our lives short than cutting out/down carbs. There are civilizations that eat almost meat only, almost plant only, some combo. But they seem adapted to it somehow.
