I am a Virtual Bandit!

So, a "bandit" is somebody who runs in a race (say, the Boston Marathon) without paying the entry fee and getting a number. I, however, managed to bandit a race virtually.
This started quite innocently and unintentionally. I signed up to be a virtual competitor at the Westminster Women's Classic on Mother's Day. I paid my fee, then swung over to One Fund to make a donation.
I ran my race on Mother's Day and posted my time on their website. Then I waited for my t-shirt and goodie bag to arrive.
...and waited...
...and waited...
I sent this email:
"Good Afternoon,
I completed the 10k race on Mother's Day and posted my time on your site (1:12:14, but I posted it as 72:14). When can I
expect my t-shirt?
Thanks!
Varda"
And they informed me that they couldn't find me in their system. No problem, I thought. I'll just track down the confirmation. So I looked through my emails. Nothing. I looked at my statement. Nothing. However, I was able to find the One Fund transaction both places. Darn. I screwed it up.
"Well, this is disappointing. I registered for your race at the same time I donated to Boston.
I couldn't find any confirmation emails, so I looked at my bank transactions. Nothing.
Apparently, I was a virtual bandit. Sorry about that....
Thanks so much!"
and they responded:
"Haha! Varda, you might very well be our first "virtual bandit"!! We do have some shirts and medals left over... IF you really would like the shirt we'd be glad to mail you one for a discount at this point....
If that's the case then just shoot me an email and we'd send you an invoice for $15 for the shirt, processing and shipping."
Bottom line is that I'm getting my shirt. And it's a really cool shirt. Even if I am a race criminal.
