Keto but not losing weight

Hello fellow Keto-ers, a bit of advice please.
I recently completed the first week of strict keto. I have done this many times before but I am determined to stick to it this time.
It concerned me that I didn't lose a single Pound in weight even though my keto stick showed I was in ketosis (deep purple) Usually the first week has the biggest weight loss. I am currently 89kg and 5'10.
Anyone had any simpler experiences and / or explanations?
Regards
James

Is it possible there was no water bloat to be lost?0

How big a deficit are you running?0

All we know about you is that you have ketones in your urine. In that case, you'll usually have sodium in your urine too, and that will lead to a water loss. If you haven't lost weight, chances are that you're gaining water weight some other way.
How's your sodium intake? Are you exercising? If so, you can gain water from the muscle inflammation.
In the first week, it's mostly about water.0 -
Are you drinking enough water? I know for me, if I don't drink enough I'll see a gain.0

Thanks for the responses guys. I think I have just been consuming too many calories. I've noticed today from using MFP how calorie dense my diet has been. I am drinking lots of water and exercising every day. I am just coming to the end of my first day in a deficit and keto and I feel slightly leaner already.0

I think the closer a person is to their goal weight, its logarithmic-ally harder to lose the weight. I see you only need to lose 22 lbs. I have talked to others that have lost as much as I have and they say the same thing.
I am determined though, to do whatever it takes to knock the rest off, I am so sick and tired of being fat all my life....
I hope this helps,

My coworker is adapting to keto this month, and he's been all over the place calorie wise and weight wise while keeping his carbs steady. He said he thinks he is losing inches though. I always tell keto folks - weigh in, take pictures, and measure. One of those things will change, and having the records will keep you sane when it feels like nothing is working.
I found that I lost weight at first, then leveled out weight wise while still losing inches. I know my body is FIXING something internally and that the scale will catch up eventually, so I figure as long as I feel better, I'm just going to trust the system.
Oh, and X10 what Dan said - the less you have to lose, the slower that scale moves, just out of self preservation alone...0 -
Give it 3 months before you start worrying... One week is just a blip.0
