I figure this thread starter is more about mental fitness. But we all seem to be going through some stressful times and it seemed appropriate.
Laura - hopefully your body will adjust soon and you can feel normal (whatever that may be) quickly!
Did do my homework from Teri last night. I also avoided sugar until the very end where I had a couple mini snickers. But I'll take what I can get. I got our van cleaned out so loading it up will be easier. Today will be busy. Middle child has her kindergarten assessment today. We also need to go to the grocery store for food for our camping trip, and the camping store for a few last minute supplies. I need to get the laundry folded and then pack up for our trip! I'm hoping to get everything packed, and almost everything loaded (except the food!). I also need to get the food prepped tonight. I did want to get a swim in this afternoon, but we'll see how everything goes!
I won't be checking in much over the next few days as I'm not sure what my cell service will be like. We are going up into the mountains in the middle of nowhere! So have a great week everyone!0 -
I met with a dietician this morning. Nothing earth-shattering, but I'm going to try a different strategy of eating (one based on the ChooseMyPlate.gov plan instead of counting calories). She also gave me some guidelines for snacks, and from the tips we discussed it's clear what I really need to focus on is being more mindful when I eat.
One of her tips for sweets is to buy the mini candy bars and freeze them, so I only pull out the serving size I want. I'm not a big candy bar person, but Val since you mentioned mini Snickers I figured I'd throw it out there. Hope you have a good trip!0 -

Laura good idea about freezing mini bars, especially since its hot.
I went to Nia then we spent the day walking around great park, buying books and even stopped once place to wine taste.
I started a good book yesterday about eating, will let you know what I think when I am done. Its about bingeing, i have been doing a bunch of eating until very full and when not hungry. Today good, but i got sick yesterday from all the food.0
