Couch to 5k

Hi 45-55er's,
I started a Couch to 5k program. I think it's a great program in that it has helped a lot of people to be more active but I think the advancement in time or distance should be based on heartrate or breathing or something more measurable.

Regardless, I'm wondering how many of you in this age group have tried the program and how has it helped you?
