So yesterday I had one of those days where I just couldn't stop eating.... I tried to eat good foods but I just wanted more. Does anyone else have these days? How do you deal with days like this?

Plan, and log before you eat, drink extra water, brush your teeth, go for a walk! And hope for the day to end!!!

I'm learning I tend to have those days during my period :/
Try finding something to occupy ur hands and concentration so u don't keep thinking about eating more.

Focus on eating protein and healthy fats to keep you satiated longer. And be gentle with yourself! Your human!

Try an activity that can completely engross your attention while not letting you eat-- clean out a few closets, do a brand new craft or try a new/ complicated pattern, thin out your filing cabinet, etc. Something that will distract you but not be overly strenuous, either.

I quit diet coke! Cravings are all but gone. I also agree about increased protein and activity. 7 o'clock jazzercise does wonders to keep me out of the kitchen in the evening...

Those days stink - I get them way too often. I did a little experimenting, and found that it's not how much I'm eating, but rather what I'm eating. In particular, how difficult is it from "the food is in my mouth" to "I'm swallowing". If I go for chips or cookies, it's just "chew chew swallow" as they break apart real easy. I can pick up a stick of beef jerky and gnaw on that for a while, and I'm happy with that (and a single strip of jerky is much better than a bag of chips). It's the same with any food I have to work at eating - not only does it slow down how quickly I eat, but at the end, I'm not so snackish.

As such, I keep a bag of crumbled bacon in the fridge (you can get it from most warehouse stores). If I find myself starting to rummage for a snack, I'll eat a tablespoon of bacon. It's less fat than regular bacon (they strip a lot of the fat off and cook out the rest), and it's chewy enough where I have to spend a little time munching. And it's only 50 calories and 3 g protein!

Someone recommended chewing gum to me as a way to keep my mouth chewing without the added calories... I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but maybe that will work for you?
