Recording Blood Sugar

I WISH MFP had a way to record at least one blood sugar reading a day, but if they do I don't know about it.
I've recently worked around it by creating a "recipe" of water, and titling it my level for that day, but is there a better way to do it? Any fellow diabetics out there with a different workaround?

I did try that for a while but it's buried on a phone, anyway (99.9% of my time). Have to click into a separate section and hard to see past notes. Adding it as a food item keeps it visible at least.
It would also be nice if you could track it with a graph like you can your weight but... Oh well. Can't have everything for free I guess.0 -
I record my fasting blood glucose with a graph everyday. It can be done.
In My Home, go to Check-In. Under the measurements there is an option to add more measurements and I added FBG. Makes a simple line graph.

It's not a very elegant solution but there are people who go to the Check In tab and create a separate record for each possible entry: Fasting, 2 Hr post breakfast ... I considered doing that but decided it was not worth it and stayed with the Abbot Labs for recording bg.0

You're always welcome to look at my food diary. My diabetes log might interest you.

Do you have an iPhone? In the Apple Health App, there is a place to record blood sugars and MFP can be set to read and write info from the health app, however, I don't know if it would show up here anywhere. But, your MFP data would show up there so you would still have all kinds of good tracking info together in one place for convenience.0

I've adopted Dan's method for my daily readings because it puts it in perspective to what I've eaten.
You can also add it as a measurement - check in tab - add additional measurement. I track my fasting blood glucose and my A1C this way so that I can see it in a graph. I don't know how many it will let you add, but I've added these two and it will still let me add another.0 -

I did see that. I assumed you did it the same way? Creating recipes?

Thanks! I'm totally going to try that! I think you have to be on a PC to d that tho so bummer cause I'm always only phone... But maybe I can set it up on PC and add to it from phone. I'll try.0 -
@nvsmomketo that worked great! Had to set it up on pc but also tracking my motivation level (1-100) and energy (1-100) each day. Thanks!!0

On the page where you record weight and measurements I added A1c and daily fasting blood glucose. I record my BG every morning. However, if you record more than once a day, the line graph will look funky, so you might want to designate a new line for each type of measurement, e.g. morning fasting, pre dinner, post dinner, bedtime, etc. You will get a different graph for each.0
