Chafing, dear God, the Chafing

It has pretty much always been an issue with me. I sweat a lot so maybe that has to do with it but anytime I've done a long run, I end up chafed somewhere. I can minimize it by the things I wear and strategicly placed Body Glide but it seems that wheneven I alleviated the problem in one place, it shows up in another. Usually it is pretty minor now since I cover the worst parts.
I finished my first Olympic distance tri the other day and got in the shower to discover that I had two spots on my lower back, above my hips. I assume it is the seam from the waist band on my Louis Garneau tri shorts. It is flat seam, the waist band isn't tight. Its a wide waist band and flat, even the seam is pretty flat. I've worn them on long runs, and shorter tris with no issue. There was nothing else I was wearing that would have hit there.
I am doing a HIM at the end of the month. I cringe at the thought of how bad the chafing will be. I'm debating taking a can of Pam and spraying my entire body in transition. Or just bathing in Vasoline.
Does anyone else have this issue? Or ideas on how to solve it?

Tri Glide spray is pretty good. They are $$$, but DeSoto 400 mile shorts are awesome - check out their reviews on Beginner Triathlete or other online sources.0

aquaphor is the only thing that has helped my chaffing.0

bodyglide/trislide help a lot... but so do clothes that fit properly. I wear tri bibs because they are so much more comfortable, but that's largely personal preference.
Ultimately though, I just lather up the spots that tend to chafe most with bodyglide and hope for the best.0 -
I only chafe in 2 (well technically 3 spots) - nipples and thighs, so I'll speak mostly to those spots. I use nexcare waterproof tape on the nipples (the adhesive is body heat activated, so it doesn't seem like it's going to stick at first, but it always sticks) and A&D Ointment everywhere else. I prefer it to body glide only because I can buy a huge tub of it for the same price as a small stick of body glide.

I don't mind spending money but found them online in USD. The Canadian $ plus the original price tag makes them a bit out of my range right now. Might be a save up for type deal.0
