Running late and a little hungry. That's a bad combo. We stopped at a local pizzaria, checked out their menu and I thought Cheesesteak Subs. Just so happens they have a $16 for 3 special I added veggies and bumped it up to $20. They handed me a large heavy bag and I was on my way home, it smelled so good in the van. My wife open the first one and ask if I ordered extra bread, but upon closer look low and behold there was a little bit of shredded beef even less cheese and a fair amount of veggies. She measured out the best she could the meat, cheese and veggies. So I wound up with a small dinner but we still have 3 huge sub rolls. I guess I can share them with the birds. :s

    Suitcases of meat.
I'm gluten sensitive anyway, so I always order foods without breads. That way I can see right then and there how much they are jacking me for. >_>

I just had to comment -- I live in Tokyo, which is a pretty expensive place, and usually I find it hard to get a good low-carb meal without rice or noodles. But yesterday, wandering into a Saizeriya family restaurant, I had a burger patty, sausage, slice of bacon and fried egg lunch for 599 yen (about US$5), including the drinks bar (two Americanos and two fizzy waters). There were three homefries and kernel corn, too, oops. It's the third meal down on the left hand side. Seems all the carby stuff is sold separately, paid extra.

(sorry for your expensive bread, Ken!)
