Am wondering if any of you use low carb shakes or bars for a meal replacement and if they are a good substitute or not.

I tried that sort of thing, and got nauseous right away. IMHO, there is no healthy substitute for bonafide food.0

I only use them on the run or when I need to eat and not very hungry.0

I personally wouldn't use them. I find that they are too processed. If I am in a hurry I would rather grab an apple, cheese string and maybe a homemade muffin (I keep in my freezer and bake them small) I want and need to know what goes in. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they are bad for you but personally I like to eat my food, not drink it.0

I used to use them at the gym between weights and cardio. I wound up switching to 1% plain milk.
The milk got the sugars in my blood faster. The cardio got them back out.0 -
I do! I use the Target brand though. I use them for times that I need to eat but my Metformin is making that a hard task. It's sometimes easier for me to drink some nutrition in those cases. I also use it for those late mornings when I'm rushing two kids to school and myself to work.
I recently used them while staying with my in-laws for a vacation. They don't have many healthy options around for breakfast so I brought a 6-pack. It kept me nice and satisfied.0
