Busy weekend that continues today and haven't had time to check in. Good game Friday night...The Falcons won...but it's just preseason. I got in 8,171 steps for 3.36 miles. Saturday my numbers were 6,144 steps for 2.52 miles as I spent most of the day preping food for today's church family dinner.
My BFF and I leave Wednesday for the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati to see some of my favorite tennis players Serena Williams, Roger Federer and the rest of the top 40 men & women will be there. We have tickets for 6 sessions including the quarters, semis and finals for all including doubles. We're driving from Atlanta and going up a day early to meet a friend, sightsee around the waterfront and going to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. It's my bestie's birthday trip. We return on Monday the 24th. #roadtrip
Can you tell I'm a little excited!
Happy Sunday,
Kathy

Shelley, I saw what you said to Kathy's Monday Motivation about needing to log to succeed. It hit a chord.
I can't log at work now, so by the time I get home, most is forgotten, the day is over and it doesn't seem to matter. But my weight is creeping upward and there is no excuse for it anymore. So desperately seeking ways to stop gaining, I logged today and was shocked to see that all I get for dinner is a vegetable and fruit cup! But without logging, wouldn't have known to limit it. So helpful!
Going to do Chris' workout today too. Need all these tools to succeed.
To our successes! :drinker:

Paula, I plan my meals for the day. When I was working I packed my breakfast and lunch the night before and that was all I ate at work. Dinner was soup. I logged it in the morning before I got ready for work. That helped me a lot. Can you walk at lunchtime? That would help. I lost my original 60 pounds by walking a fast four miles almost everyday.
I joined Weight Watchers 11 years ago Tuesday, August 18th and weighed 192.2. I am 5'7". I will be about 8 pounds up from my goal of 132.2 on Tuesday. I will get back to 132.2...I worked too hard to mess around any longer. Being retired is no reason to get fat again!! If I start thinking about something extra, I remind myself that I am not hungry and it is not worth it. I also don't have trigger food in the house.
I walked w/DDD this morning before it got nasty hot then we went for haircuts...maybe I'll be lighter in the morning!! Sooo...no junk food and watching my portions is my plan. I have bell pepper in the fridge that I will chop up and eat for a snack if I need to. I also bought cut up jicama for snacking.
Paula what is your food plan for Monday?? What is your exercise plan?
To our success!

Kathy you are brimming with excitement!
It sounds like a great time. And I even know who Serena is! Muahaha. Partly because I always thought those two sisters had to be competitive. So hard on sisters. And partly because my daughter's name is Sanara. They just seemed kind of alike! You have loads of fun.
Paula I am sure I went over. I might try to log here in a moment. Could you try planning your meals ahead of time? And that is a shocker. Finding out you only have enough calories left for vegetables and a fruit cup. I feel for you. I saw your new posts under mine tonight.
Crazy day. Walked the boys. Ran around feeding them all. Got a little of my painting done. Went to my groomer friends place. We worked on plumbing in the large dog tub. Then Rocky and I put in a door between two small rooms where only sheet rock existed before. Met a friend afterwards for dinner at pizza ranch. Then home for more painting. Rocky worked on prepping for more concrete pouring tomorrow. I am pretty sure I ate to much. Going to go log.
Work vacations are nuts.
Hope you all had a great Sunday.
