Hello, I'm Charlotte and I used to teach so this seems like the place for me! This is my first time doing a challenge so I'm really looking forward to it.
My goals:
Stay under my calorie goals 6/7 days
Get over 10,000 steps every day
Cut out fizzy drinks, caffeine, etc. by only drinking water.0 -
Hi there! I'm THC, or Pix, or Toni. Call me whichever you feel comfortable with.
I am a sociology professor, so I simply must root for the teachers!
This is my 3rd Walking Dead challenge and I couldn't be more stoked!
My three goals are:
1. Stay under my Net calorie goal weekly
2. Consistently lose at least .25 (1/4) pound on the scale each week (more is welcomed of course, but no maintaining and certainly no gaining.)
3. Get at least 300 minutes of deliberate cardio each week.
I'd also like to get under 200 pounds by the end of the challenge. As of right now, I am 205.3.
I am also in the Harry Potter challenge, so my status updates have a lot of Hufflepuff to them. My profile picture is always changing back and forth between Harry Potter and Walking Dead.
Please feel free to friend me. I accept all friend requests on MFP.0 -
Hi there! This should be fun... my goals will be:
Stay within calorie limit 6/7 days
Exercise via smartphone app EVERY day, even if only for 5 minutes
Eat no more than one dessert per week
I'm a teacher now, and my students sometimes seem like zombies, so this should be cool...0 -

Hello! I'm Samantha and I'm not a teacher but I do have 3 kids and my oldest is going into kindergarten in less than two weeks so I've been doing a lot of teaching with him. I wasn't sure if I would have time for this challenge with school starting for me as well in a week and a half but I just can't say no to challenges. My goals are going to focus on making me move more, making food for the family instead of just cooking something frozen or something boring, and staying under my calories. For the cooking part, I used to make the same thing all the time and even though it was homemade it was still boring so I want to make different recipes as well which I have done for all three meals a day this week as an experiment and it turned out great although it was extremely time-consuming so that's why I am aiming for 7 meals total.
My goals are:- Walk at least 10 intentional miles a week.
- Cook homemade and different meals from scratch for the whole family at least 7 meals out of the week.
- Have a deficit of at least 3500 calories for the entire week.

In all seriousness though, the zombie challenges / attacks will always be doable by everyone. If anyone ever needs a replacement challenge because of an injury or whatever, just message me or another team leader0 -

My goals:- Continue to log every day.

Get caught up on last season of TWD before FTWD starts.0 -

Okay Guys, Girls and Undead, we're coming down to the start of the challenge.
The Horde will gather tomorrow and begin planning their first attacks: who/where/what. Their decisions will be based on the pilot episode and on the strengths and weaknesses they see in each team throughout this first week. Their attacks or challenges will be posted early next Monday, August 30th. Each team will have unique challenges to overcome and each individual MUST meet their own goals.
For this week, I will post the initial challenge after the show tonight and it will apply to ALL the teams, including the Horde.
It will be a basic Fit Test as well as a challenge video that is a favourite among past participants of out Walking Dead challenges. As always, please ask for alternatives if you have an injury and modify the workout to your fitness level. I will post again here when it is up. Questions?0 -
Members list should be up to date now if everyone wants to make sure they are on there and on the right team. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10234629/members-list-updated-weekly0

Just did part 1 of the challenge, the fitness test. Word of warning to my teammates, IMHO, part1and part 2 of this challenge should be done on separate days, ideally with a rest day in between. The fitness test requires squats with no weights till failure. Ouch! My thighs are buzzing two hours later. I seriously doubt I could get through the Sally squats video today. So don't wait till the last minute to get this done!0

PS Go Teachers!!!!0

Thanks for the word of warning @goldthistime!! I have plans to do mine tomorrow!
Btw...did I miss the introduction to the team leader? Not sure who it is0
