Water retention???

hi.
I'm new to the group and new to low carbing and wondering if anyone could help me.
I've been at this for a week. I drink loads of water but today I actually can't fit in to any of my jeans. They're really really tight around my thighs and bum but loose around my waste and all my tops are loose on me too so I know I'm loosing everywhere else. I workout 5/6 days a week doing Jillian Michaels body revolution. Usually, due to the amount of water I drink I am running backwards and forwards for a wee but today, despite drinking lots I have only been twice which is very strange. Could I be retaining water in the places I mentioned making my jeans extremely tight around those areas?? My thighs feel extremely tired too.
Is this a common side effect?

Are your leg muscles sore from your workouts? They will hold on to water until the soreness subsides.
Also, consider where you are in your monthly hormonal cycle.0 -
They feel really fatigued rather than workout sore.
I think I'm around ovulation when I do usually retain water but never this much. Could it be holding more because of workouts and diet?0
