Experts have estimated that when people try to change a single behavior at a time, the likelihood that they’ll retain that habit for a year or more is better than 80 percent.

When they try to tackle two behaviors at once, their chances of success are less than 35 percent.

When they try for three behaviors or more, their success rate plummets to less than 5 percent.

So instead of assigning a whole bunch of changes at once, start with one.

the phrase "Stacking habits" is popular lately on how to do better at anything, especially dieting.

as example, With LCHF more water is needed…so for me finding a way to always be meeting my real water needs wasn't happening.

Now I found a way to do that and get 80+ ounces a day

I need to do a lot more of other things too..but slowly!

Looks like all good science tests only one thing at a time

I completely agree with that. When I changed to this woe I change one meal at a time for a week or two before moving on to the next meal. Same thing with all the other behaviors. Right now I am working on eating when I am hungry and not by the clock. Trying to learn my hunger signals.
