Marla is appliance shopping fun or stressful? I bought a refrigerator when I bought my house but I only had 1 size option (my fridge is in a small space) so there wasn't much choice there, and I got my stove/oven for free. It's no frills but was brand new & free.

Today looks like it's going to be cool & overcast with scattered showers, so it's a good day to stay inside. Have some laundry going and have started to clean. My guest cat is going home this afternoon. I have more fur in my house than I can believe - nothing like 3 stressed out cats at once. I've been picking up clumps of fur from the floors.

Will head to the gym later & at a minimum do my Mayo Clinic exercises. Not sure about extra cardio. Still feeling a little sluggish so I'm leaning toward one more light day then starting the new week fresh tomorrow. I need to go to the grocery store & gas station too.

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

This time we went to home depot 4-5 times during the summer, starting with the thought that I don't care what people think the new stainless i had last 10 yrs was hard to keep clean, got smeared easy, so i wanted white.

And I had hoped to get gas stove, like to cook with gas.

If house had new ones i was to accept whatever, luckily for me, they weren't new.

So this time I picked GE because I like how easy and not heavy but not too light the grates are. I went just one step up to self cleaning, but still reasonable price, not a convection one this time.

Frig, i got a side by side with water/ice on outside, was on sale for $1100 so nice but there were many huge ones for $2000-3000.

Microwave just the basic model, didnt need any upgrade. Dishwasher did spend $100 more for a lower desimal rating to make it quieter.

W/D still GE, only because pair was on sale and uses steam, never had that before, suppose to be good for getting stains out, we will see. I'll let you know!

They were all on sale and I got extra discount for sending more and 6 months no interest and I will pay off before then.

We are also looking at new granite sink and faucet, and I am going to sand and refinsh cabinets, thats my first project!

Looking at beige/tan colored sink with kohler white faucet to match appliances.

The countertops is dark brown/black so lighting up the rest will lighten the kitchen.

No exercise of any kind today, air is in the red, very unhealthy, gym still closed, but i have a rash on neck and shoulders just where I put the ben gay stuff last week. I woke up yesterday with itchy rash. Went to walgreens and asked pharmacist and she said looked like allergic reaction.

So took bendryl, helping a liitle but slept in. Using cordizone cream. Ugh...

I want your rain Laura... B)

We have stainless appliances at the office and they never look clean.

It's mid-50s, windy, and has been raining on & off all day. I went out to bring some garbage and recycling out but otherwise have stayed in. I've been alternating resting (reading or napping) with cleaning and have gotten a lot done. When my house needs TLC, I seem to do better tackling it in small bursts.
