Aussie expats?

Hi everyone:
I just joined this group and hope you don't mind. I'm an Aussie expat (by way of the Blue Mountains) working in the USA. I was hoping to connect with other Aussies who remain loyal to the homeland and also those who have wandered away... but still call Australia home.
(Do you like that Peter Allen reference?)
Anyway, I hope to lurk more around here and check in on the conversations from this side of the world.
Beth

Hi Beth, do I count? ... I am Aussie and lived most of my life in Asia until I returned home a few years back. I still work in the region though and so am 50% or more of my time away in any year - it the only way I know Donna0

Donna, yup that counts! At least you know what it's like to sort of never belong anywhere. I don't feel completely Australian anymore and I'm certainly not American!0

I'm the opposite. I'm an American living in Australia.0

I'm jealous! How long have you been in Oz?0

I have been here almost 4 years. How long have you been in the US?0

Too long! About 15 years. I keep saying when my kids are out of school I'll move back home. At least that's the plan!0

Ill be moving to NYC in December!0

Nicky, oh I'm jealous! I've never been there. I have heard it's like Sydney on steroids, though!0

Currently living in Toronto, however we are moving back within the next 3/4 months0

Kupe, good luck with that! I plan on moving back in a few years, although I know re-entry is going to be tough. Still, I miss my family.0
