I'm back on the one-day-at-a-time plan for now. Had a good day yesterday both with my food & my fitness. Was a little worried about it since I was still tired & not feeling very well and I had taken the weekend off. Jason was on board with weighing me Thursday instead of yesterday so that helped keep me in line last night.
Marla, glad you found something that's helping the rash. I have some pure aloe gel & it's supposed to be good for a ton of things. I bought it back when I was getting my legs waxed - that's what she recommended for after-care.
Val, things getting any cooler there?
We're having October weather here. Supposed to get down into the 40s tonight, and our predicted high temp is something like 62. It should be very pleasant on my run after work anyway.

Marla - right now the position is volunteer...but they're working on making it paid eventually. But it's not that I'm actually doing too much which is what led to me not realizing I'm stressed. I have taken on too much (about a year ago my schedule was insane!) but I had cut back quite a bit and now all the kids are in school for at least part of the day. So my life has actually been very well balanced. But whenever you take on a new position there is stress for several weeks as you don't have a good rhythm yet. So I realized even though I actually have down time and time with the kids and such...I was still stressed. Mainly worrying about whether I'll forget to do something and such like that. Once it becomes more natural a routine I'll be fine.
Laura - If the temp going from around 115 to 105 counts as cooling off!0 -
Again with the not posting everything! Luckily I remembered to copy paste! Here's the rest:

Laura - Of course I remember how in Minnesota even the 90s feels really hot. To be honest, the dryness here does make a difference. 90s feels quite nice here. A tad warm and you still want to be in the shade. But the temp is about 10 degrees of difference between sun and shade. The temp will also drop about 30 degrees after the sun goes down. So right now, it hits about 85 in the morning before sunrise. So I can still get outside for my runs and bikes. But my poor hubby has to wear all that gear in the heat of the afternoon outside four days a week! Glad you got a good amount of rest this weekend! It's amazing what that can do for your health! I'm on my rest and recovery week this week in training and it has been super nice to sleep in and recover quite a bit!
I got a swim in yesterday. I got all my grocery shopping done, and finally caught up on all our bills and paperwork! Got everything checked and paid and filed away! I also got most of my church stuff and PTO stuff done. It's amazing what I can get done when I don't have 3 small kiddos underfoot! Over the past year since I had my surgery, I let a lot of stuff pile up. So I've been slowly whittling away at it all. Yesterday was one of the last areas I still needed to catch up on so now I feel a lot better about everything! I know my routine works and I made up a checklist for each day of what I need to get done. I still had plenty of time to snuggle with my kids and watch a show with them. It was nice.
Today's mood is hopeful! Like you said Laura, knowing my stress was half the battle right there!
Today I have a staff meeting. Then hubby and I are going to a matinee showing of Jurassic World and having a nice date! I'm excited! Have a great day!0 -
I also think it's my little faces I sometimes use that freak this app out or something. The past two times I've noticed that it only posts to the smiley face and then cuts off. I'll have to remember not to use those. Or just do it the old fashioned way....0

Your right Val any new job it takes awhile to get the flow down.
My rash is definitely one that takes a week or two to go away, the itch is driving me crazy, At least now I know what I am allergic too and will never use anything like it again.
Air is better today, still in yellow so not healthy but not red and orange like before.
Its mid 90's here, but since i have been staying in with air not really noticing it. Suppose to rain Saturday, i hope so much for it. Want to do a trip to Ashland or Medford and air has been the worst there.
Going out to do errands today, mailing a application for new water company. I spent yesterday calling all new utilities. Finding out no good internet companies there or cell.
They sent me a bunch of digital papers to sign but address was wrong and havent heard from realtor since i told her, hoping its a easy fix since they wrote road instead of way. Only reason i mentioned it is across town there is a road with same name and i didnt want any chance of problem.0 -
Marla, speaking from experience, that can cause a ton of problems. One of the main avenues in my town ends at a highway. My road is on the other side of the highway and they gave it the same avenue name, but with "West" tacked onto the end. Unfortunately they decided to have duplicate numbering (it starts at 100 at the highway and goes up as you move further west/east), so there are duplicate house numbers from 100-1200, with West being the only difference. Unfortunately a lot of people seem to find the West unnecessary when sending mail (I've specifically told people to make sure West gets on there and they've missed it - my last car loan I had to have them change all the paperwork because the finance guy had skipped it), so I have a lot of mail problems. There is another house number with my same avenue but it's over a mile from my house.0
