How to sync your Fitbit to MFP

The following instructions were provided by MFP staff back in March...
You can link Fitbit to MyFitnessPal via the APPS tab on the website or the Apps & Devices tab on the mobile apps. At this time, we recommend completing this through the website, as members are currently having trouble linking via the iOS/Android app. (More details here)
Locate Fitbit Tracker and click “Connect Accounts”.
Follow the on-screen prompts to link the two programs.
Once you are linked there are four data points that you can compare between your Fitbit and MyFitnessPal accounts to determine if your accounts are syncing properly.
These four items are Fitbit Steps, Fitbit Sleep Minutes, Weight and the FitBit Adjustment (for calories burned).
Your Fitbit Adjustment will show in your diary and is the difference between the Fitbit’s actual calorie burn and the MyFitnessPal estimation. You can see these two numbers by clicking the information “i” next to your adjustment on the website and by tapping on your Fitbit Adjustment on mobile.
If your adjustment is showing a “0” this is because your total calorie burn from Fitbit has not surpassed the MyFitnessPal estimation AND you have not enabled Negative Fitbit Adjustments. You can read more about this here – https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1084233
You can see your Weight, Fitbit Steps and Fitbit Sleep Minutes on our website or in our mobile apps
On the Web
Log in to www.myfitnesspal.com. Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app.
Once you’ve logged in, click “My Home” tab, then “Check-In”. This is where we sync your Weight, Fitbit Steps and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.
In Our Apps
On the “Progress” page of the app, click the “Weight” label to reveal additional measurements, including Fitbit Steps and Fitbit Sleep Minutes.
(Note that if you do not attach your Fitbit to the wristband and set it to stopwatch mode when you sleep, you should not expect to see any Fitbit Sleep Minutes data.)
Hope this helps to clear up any concern with the sync between the two programs.
Cheers,
Kelly
